The 16 Annual Leadbelt XC MTB Race is Sunday July 16th, 2023. The course travels through hardwood forest, creek bottoms and small groves of cedars. As always, the dedicated event volunteers will have the course 100% trimmed and in fast racing condition. There are class offerings for skill levels, endurance, long travel big hitter bikes, high school age groups and kids. See registration for specific offerings, times and fees. Plan on a full day of riding and racing as well as post-race refreshments, bench racing and awards.
The course is an eight mile per lap mix of beautiful Missouri hardwood forest, Pines, Creek Crossings, Open Savanna and of course a couple of rocks and roots. Awards will be presented to the top 3 all categories with a few categories going 5 deep. Post race opportunities include help with recovery and refueling.
The Park has other amenities for you to take advantage of while there. Monsanto Lake is near race HQ and offers swimming, canoeing, kayaking and SUP. There are also ample picnic areas, a 12-mile asphalt bike path loop, the mining museum and more.
Register for both Run the Leadbelt 8 Mile (7/15) and Leadbelt XC Marathon class(7/16) for a chance to be the Miner Tough Champion! The top Male and Female will each be awarded the Championship.
